PEAK PERIOD TRAVEL ADVICE

We expect the port to be extremely busy with queues at Border Control this weekend.

Travelling from Dover:

Foot passengers must be at the port at least 90 minutes before departure. The bus transfer to the ship departs 90 minutes before your booked departure time.

Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure for cars and anyone arriving at our booths after this time will be unable to travel on their booked crossing. Please ensure you leave sufficient time for any queues at Border Controls. We advise car passengers to allow at least 90 minutes to pass through all controls before arriving at check-in.

On arrival at the port, you may have to wait in the lanes at the front of the port, which means there are delays at Border Control while mandatory entry checks are carried out by the French Police.

All passports are scanned by Border Control and again at our check-in, so keep them to hand along with your booking reference number listed above.

On-board Facilities

For those who may have previously dined in our Brasserie (which is now permanently closed) or are looking for more options, we are very excited to announce our new all-inclusive Club Lounges. Offering a relaxing environment where guests can help themselves to the all-inclusive range of specially designed hot & cold food, drinks and snacks. Coffee machines dispense freshly ground coffee, or choose from our wines, spirits, bottled beers and ciders, and full range of soft drinks.

Food Market

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new self service food markets on the Spirit of Britain, Spirit of France and the Pride of Kent. These exciting new spaces offer a modern 24/7 food offer and replace the food courts of old.

The food markets include a great variety of hot and cold meals, an indulgent pastry section (with lots of yummy treats), a great vegetarian and vegan offering, or if it’s some healthy choices you are after, we have that too.
